In an effort to develop a global Pan-African online community, The first African Social Mobile Application – Eko Social App has been launched. It has been designed to connect the diaspora and rest of the world to African brands, news and music via smartphones.

The creative Social Application has a number of engaging features for users across the board; A Location Chat platform allowing you to make friends with people around the world, The option to listen to African Radio Stations, Read latest news whilst giving you access to upcoming brands leading you to their websites from a click of a branded button.

The creator of the app, British-Nigerian Rachel Ekundayo, moved to Lagos, Nigeria from London in 2013. With her interest in African brands and business, her motivation behind building the application was to ensure the creation of an innovative gap between Nigerians and Africans living locally and those aboard or their children (much like Rachel). Rachel comments;
“I believe we have a simple yet engaging app that has something for everyone, whether you are African or White American. The exciting aspect of the app will be our continual effort to connect young Africans globally in away that has not been done before and the opportunities that this can create beyond the app itself.”
The app can be downloaded from the official website:www.ekosocialapp.com The app is also currently available on iTunes and Google Play Store.

 The App Creator and the team behind the app are currently planning an African University Tour in October to talk to students about creative marketing and technology and how they as students can impact Africa through the technology space.

Any interested personelle should download the application from the website and find out more details about the integrating social application, designed to overcome the barrier of distance and instil a sense of unity between Africans.
